Today, CLTRe published its second annual security culture report. The Security Culture Report 2018 – Measure to Improve explores how the security cultures of over 20,000 employees, speaking 7 languages, compare.
As well as providing the first ever global industry benchmarks for Bank & Finance, ICT, Retail & Wholesale Trade, and Real Estate, the report examines how security culture has improved (and in some cases deteriorated).

The 2018 industry benchmarks from the Security Culture Report 2018 published by CLTRe
The results are fascinating! And, there are quite some variation. The finance sector continues to score best in class in terms of security culture with the best security behaviours and strongest adherence to norms. The trade sector (a new addition to the industry benchmarks on security culture), however, stands out for its strong compliance, high cognition score, and positive attitudes.
The report looks in the detail at each industry sector, suggests possible explanations for the results and provides recommendations on how they can improve.
